Tui Na  (Chinese Massage)

 Tui Na (pronounced Twee na ) is Traditional Chinese massage therapy that has been practised for over 3000 years. Tui Na literally translated means push and grasp.It forms one the four branches of Chinese medicine, the other three being Acupuncture, Herbal medicine and Qi Gong. To this present day Tui Na is used, as a main stream therapeutic therapy in China; treating a wide range of conditions and a natural way of maintaining good health.  What sets Tui Na aside from other disciplines of massage is it uses the same energy points and channels as those in Traditional Chinese acupuncture.   Tui Na is effective in treating

* Chronic pain, especially that caused by muscle-skeletal conditions and injuries
* Neck, shoulder and back pain and immobility
* Sciatica and Tennis elbow
* Internal condition like Headache ,Migraines, Fatigue ,Digestive disorder can be treated as these
   energy channels can be focused on by Tui Na practitioner.

How is Tuina massage carried out?
Tui Na is a firm massage, performed through loose clothing using various lifting, stretching, stroking pushing and grasping massage techniques. These are accompanied by acupressure and joint manipulation which aid revitalising of energy.

The Chinese believe that health and vitality is dependent on the vital life force “Qi”(Pronounced Chi) which flows freely through our body freely and must be balanced. To encourage the smooth flow of Chi and remove any blockages Tui Na massage has to be vibrant and strong. Although Tuina is used in conjunction with Acupuncture, as a therapy it stands on its own merits, as a treatment.

For patients who dislike needles,but would like the benefit which Acupuncture can bring,Tui Na massage is the ideal treatment. Tui Na relieves the stresses and strain of modern living and keeping your body in good health.
